Daily Task Check List

(This is a cut from an ebook I wrote for someone, but they never paid so I’m posting the good bits here. That’s why you’ll see references to ‘this guide’ etc. Rough draft, mind. )

In the previous part of this guide, I’ve mentioned developing a routine. Most players should get into a comfortable routine of feeding their pet and caring for them, but it doesn’t stop there.

When looking at getting more Neopoints, you’ll want to use the resources listed below. These are mostly free activities that you can do every day to boost your Neopoints or even get free items (for selling). Remember, the guide is about gaining Neopoints. Keep what items you wish but most of what is shared here will include notes on values for selling at shops, etc.

Free Stuff

This one gives great items and Neopoints. At the present, it is currently unavailable. I have no knowledge if it will be back. I suspect it will though or they would have take this page down.

http://www.neopets.com/water/fishing.phtml
I don’t honestly know why this is here, except that you get rocks, fish (food) and seaweed. My Neopets don’t like the fish. This is just more stuff to give away at the Giving Tree. (Some items may be useful for Jobs and Quests.)

2.3. Scratch Cards

Scratch cards are a costly daily do. I usually buy only one or two at a time, depending on what I’m doing, though if you are regularly playing games and earning tens of thousands each day, you can probably afford to get all four of the scratch cards.

Each card you get is random and prizes may vary. I find a lot of luck with them.

2.6. Special Occasions
Activities like the Advent calendar are only available once a year and other things are available at certain times.

Advent Calendar
http://neopets.com/winter/adventcalendar.phtml
This part of Neopia is really easy to forget; yet it is essential if you are looking to get ahead of the game by getting freebies. Every year during the month of December, the Neopets celebrate the holidays and with the help of the Advent Calendar you can join in the celebration.

The Advent Calendar will give you a gift every day for the entire month of December absolutely free. All you have to do is visit the right page. You don’t want to miss a day. Your pets will get toys, Neopoints, food and even expensive and rare items like paintbrushes and bottled fairies.

Half Price Day

On the third day of every month, all the Neopet Stores (ones operated by the Neopet website, not by Neopet Owners) cut their prices in half! What a way to save a bundle!
It’s only for one day, so mark your calendars.

Also: The rumor is that The Hidden Tower and the Smuggler’s Cove shops do not cut their prices. Try all the other ones!

Freebies Page
http://www.neopets.com/freebies/
Go here once a day. I don’t know how long this will last but the way it is worded, it doesn’t sound like a long time. This is why this part is here.

Special Pet Days

You may notice that on special Wensdays, there is a themed day for Neopets. If your pet’s species is the same as that Special Wensdays, certain things happen. That species gets added special abilited in the Battle Dome, you’ll find special food and toy items that are designed for that species and more. Check it out!

2.7. Healing Springs
Location: http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/springs.phtml

Last of all, save your trip to the Healing Springs for dead last. Some of these games mentioned above are dangerous to your pets. The Healing Springs can sell you potions that will give you Head Points and one quick visit with the Faerie may make them all better.

What happens with the Faerie is random so she may not do what you expect. Just be prepared to purchase a few potions before you leave.

*Do note what each bottle is are before purchasing, some items you can only use in the Battle dome and some will not heal your pet but just make them feel better.
